ABOUT NARA

“Nara” comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘Thai Woman’. It was founded by Narawadee Srikarnchana (Yuki) and Sirisopa Chulasewok (Jean) out of their passion for food in 2004.

At Nara BKC, you will taste the vibrant exquisiteness of age-old Thai cuisine that blends perfectly with a modern casual ambience, coupled with the signature warmth of Thai hospitality. The Nara BKC ethos is beautifully presented dishes that remain true to their origins with flavours that strike a deep chord, evoking a sense of culture as well as comfort.

From bustling BKC, Nara has now extended it’s warmth and wholesome Thai flavours to colonial Colaba.

A location that shares Nara’s taste for intricacies and opulence, it aims to take a moment from your daily lives and make it stand out. Whether you walk in for a heart-warming meal during the day or a quiet romantic evening, Nara Colaba will leave you feeling amazed at how unique yet fulfilling each experience can be.

The Nara brand philosophy is about creating spaces where family and friends get together over good food, reliving old memories while making new ones. Both the Nara Thai ventures embody this in every way.

A highly cherished home-grown restaurant brand Nara Thai makes its much-awaited debut in India. Voted as one of Thailand’s best restaurants since 2006, Nara, has garnered a cult following as one of the finest Thai eateries in Asia and is part of an international chain, with restaurants in Bangkok, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

The word "Nara" comes from the Sanskrit language meaning 'Thai woman'. Founded by a group of women in 2003 and with women, predominately, at the helm of this venture the name couldn't be more fitting!
